Young Queenslander of the Year - Metropolitan Finalist
As part of Queensland Week the Honourable Premier Peter Bettie acknowledges those who have contributed to the lifestyle and betterment of Queenslands industry across a broad range of activities in business and the arts. This year William was named Metropolitan finalist for Young Queenslander of the Year. William is honoured to have been chosen as finalist from a short list other well deserving finalist from both regional and metropolitan Queensland.
As William was in Italy he could not attend the award ceremony at Parliament House in Brisbane on the 6th of June but his brother Robert Barton accepted the finalist award on William’s behalf.
